I consider myself a picture taker. Not a photographer by any means, but a picture taker. It's the best way to preserve memories and happenings of life. They have always brought my heart joy, as evidenced by the over 20, 000 pics I've got on my computer, (that's an actual number, not an exaggeration) not to mention the boxes and boxes of pictures I keep telling myself I'm going to scan and/or scrapbook one day.
Anyway, my friend Emily from high school is not only one of my favorite people out there, but she is a photographer. Not just a picture taker, a PHOTOGRAPHER! She did an AMAZING job photographing my kids, and I will be eternally grateful for her talents and abilities!!!
